Ukrzaliznytsia received 105 generators from USAID to ensure uninterrupted passenger and cargo transportation
On May 16, 2023, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provided 105 diesel generators to the state railway carrier Ukrzaliznytsia JSC. This assistance, worth $2.7 million, will help Ukrzaliznytsia, one of Ukraine's electricity Distribution System Operators, to back up the power supply to more than 100,000 consumers and contribute to uninterrupted passenger and cargo transportation within Ukraine.

USAID Energy Security Project delivered 667 generators for the needs of local councils and district heating utilities
Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through its Energy Security Project (ESP), has delivered 667 generators of various capacities for the needs of local councils, district heating utilities, and educational and medical institutions in thirty-four settlements in 14 oblasts of Ukraine. This $6.2 million USAID assistance made it possible to supply heat and electricity to the Ukrainian people during the 2022-2023 heating season.

Draft Law on Prevention of Abuse in Wholesale Energy Markets has been approved by Line Committee for its final adoption by Verkhovna Rada
On April 28, 2023, the long-awaited draft Law on Prevention of Abuse in Wholesale Energy Markets (No. 5322), after a lengthy refinement, was approved by the Energy and Utilities Committee and recommended for adoption by the Verkhovna Rada in the second reading, and as a whole. The draft law was registered yet two years ago, on April 1, 2021, approved by the Rada in the first reading on September 20, 2022, and, until now, has been in preparation under a shortened procedure.

USAID delivered 2,637 tons of salt to Kyivteploenergo for water treatment
In February-March 2023, USAID, through its Energy Security Project, provided Kyivteploenergo (KTE) utility with 2,637 tons of industrial salt for water treatment.
