USAID Announced its Intent to Contribute $25 Million to Strengthen Energy Security in Ukraine as it Intensifies its Support for Energy Security Across Europe and Eurasia

April 25, 2023

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) announced its intent to provide up to $25 million to the Energy Community, one of USAID’s longest and most important partners in encouraging energy sector reforms and promoting European energy security.

USAID plans to contribute to the Energy Community’s Ukraine Energy Support Fund, where USAID Energy Security Project (ESP) is the independent procurement agent. The Fund was established to pool donor resources to purchase much-needed energy sector equipment, thus enabling Ukraine to prepare for the next winter season.
