With support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) became the 14th Gas Transmission Benchmarking Initiative (GTBI) member.
The GTBI is a consortium of European gas transmission system operators (TSO) whose mission is to facilitate the secure and confidential sharing and benchmarking of performance data, practices, and experience. GTBI supports learning, continuous improvement, and adoption of industry best practices in gas transmission through reliable, validated benchmarking data and methods, and collaboration among its members.
Participating in the GTBI is a significant investment in alignment of Ukraine’s gas transmission practices with international standards, not only enhancing the operational efficiency of GTSOU but also reinforcing the country’s commitment to sustainable energy practices.
According to GTSOU’s CEO Dmytro Lyppa, in addition to improving the company’s existing approach to natural gas transportation, membership in GBTI opens access to modern data-driven approaches and technologies used by European Gas Transmission System Operators.
